Screens and privacy
Silentia
AB is a company located in Sweden, that devotes itself to
products designed to improve the environment, indoors and out.
The name Silentia means stillness and quiet.
THE SILENTIA SCREEN is a patented screening system used to
improve patient comfort and the indoor environment at
hospitals and other care facilities. It is helpful to both
patients and staff. The screen takes up little space when it's
not being used. It is easy to pull out, section by section, to
the desired length. It can be placed at an angle and fixed in
different positions. It is available in 2 heights -1.45 metres
tall, an ideal height which doesn't block the daylight and
allows staff a good view of the room and 1.85m tall.
The screen is available for mounting on the wall where it
doesn't get in the way of lifting devices mounted on the
ceiling. and is also available as a MOBILE SCREEN. The
Silentia Silver Line Screen is available in several lengths to
suit every requirement. It is hygienic - the flat surfaces can
be quickly and easily cleaned in place.
THE SILENTIA SCREEN can be used anywhere indoors where
screening is desired, including patient rooms, ICUs, and
surgical recovery rooms. It can be mounted to the door posts
to block the room from view when the door is opened, or used
to create a dressing area in, for example, examination rooms
or staff rooms. The wall mounted screen gives the room
built-in flexibility. The screen is always in place, folded
against the wall, but can be quickly drawn out when needed. It
is easy to fix in different positions and can even be angled
sideways to provide increased width if required. For maximum
flexibility, the Silentia screen can also be attached to the
wall rail systems so that it can be moved sideways, or to a
trolley for mobile use.

Silentia Silver Line
Silentia
Silver Line is a patented screening system that was developed
to create a more pleasant environment for both patients and
staff in hospitals, other care facilities and private clinics.
The clever folding screen is the foundation of the system, and
provides a simple method of screening without closing in. The
screen is placed between beds in hospital rooms to provide
privacy when a patient has visitors or is receiving nursing
care, or around a washbasin when a patient is washing.
It
is also used widely in examination rooms and in intensive care
and surgical recovery wards. Silentia Silver Line is a
development of the Silentia Screen, which was introduced in
1990 and has been successful in some 30 countries around the
world. The new model is the result of a thorough reassessment,
during which the design, construction and quality of most
components were modified and improved. However, the basic idea
remains the same as for its predecessor - and the features of
the screen include the fact that it is always on hand, lets in
daylight and is easy to keep clean.
It also forms part of a complete system that meets all care
requirements, in terms of fittings, design adaptability and
availability of special solutions, such as the model with
built-in X-ray shield.
Silentia Silver Line is a development of the Silentia Screen,
which has been highly successful since its launch in 1990. The
function is the same, but more than 80% of the component parts
have been modified and improved in the new version.
A.
The screen is mounted on the wall so that it is always on
hand. It can also be attached to a wall rail system with the
aid of a clamp, or on a trolley for mobile use.
B. The screen surface does not trap dust and is easy to
clean in position.
C. The gap between the floor and screen facilitates
cleaning.
D. The enclosed wheels have a two-way brake and are
sprung to accommodate irregularities in the floor. Hinged
joints and rubber-clad wheels ensure smooth and quiet
movement. The wheels are easily removed for cleaning.
E. The easy-to-grasp handle has a new, integrated
design.
F. The screen has no hanging fittings that could
interfere with the operation of ceiling hoists.
G. The screen is available in six different lengths:
from 1.25 to 3.75 m. The height is 1.45 or 1.85 m.
H. The low height (1.45 m) is designed to give staff a
clear view and offer minimum obstruction to sunlight and
ventilation.
